Dr. Silvers and Dr. Camelia Hostinar of UC Davis were awarded a $10,000 seed grant from the UC Consortium on the Developmental Science of Adolescence to study the influence of the stress hormone cortisol and inflammation on adolescent mental health and well-being. The researchers are particularly interested in internalizing symptoms, such as symptoms of depression, which tend to arise in adolescence. Congratulations, Dr. Silvers and Dr. Hostinar!
