UCLA Emotions in Everyday Life Study (Online)
The Emotions in Everyday Life Study aims to characterize and better understand the daily emotional experiences of teens. For this voluntary online research study, caregivers and their 13-15 year-old teens will begin with a ~1 hour Zoom session. During this time, your teen will complete a few questionnaires about their emotions and experiences, followed by an image rating task. Participants will learn how to complete the task and practice with a researcher. After the first Zoom session, your teen will complete a short version of the image rating task every day after 5PM on their smart phone, tablet, or computer. We will send SMS text and email reminders with a link to the task. Following the two weeks of daily tasks, your teen will join one additional virtual session. Lastly, one week after finishing their daily tasks, we will send a set of questionnaires for your teen to complete online on their own.
This is a voluntary research study, so caregivers or teens are free to withdraw from the study at any time. Teens will be compensated up to $60 for completing all aspects of the study.
Interested caregivers may reach out to the UCLA SAND Lab at emotionstudy.sand.ucla@gmail.com.
